About us
Built heavy. Worn every day.
I. The drawer
Everyone has a drawer like the one we had.
It is full of clothes that looked right on the screen and felt right the first time you put them on. A hoodie with a good graphic. A tee that fit perfectly the day it arrived. For a week, maybe two, they were your favourite things.
Then the small failures began. The collar curled at the edges and never lay flat again. The cuffs lost their grip and slid down over your hands. The fabric thinned at the elbows and pilled under the arms. The print cracked along the fold where the garment had been packed, and every wash widened the crack a little more. By the second month the favourite hoodie had quietly become the one you only wore at home. By the sixth, it was in the drawer.
Nobody talks about it, because it happens slowly, and it happens to everyone, and so it has come to feel normal. We buy, we wear, we watch it fall apart, and we buy again. Somewhere along the way, clothing became very good at looking expensive in a photograph and surprisingly bad at still being good a year later.
We were tired of it. Not of fashion — of disappointment. Of paying for a feeling that lasted a fortnight.
ARLES began with one stubborn question: why is it so hard to find everyday clothing that is made to stay?
Not a statement piece. Not a hype drop. Not a logo you pay a premium to be seen in. Just the hoodie you reach for every morning — built well enough that a year from now it is still the one you reach for.
We kept finding the same gap. The pieces that felt right cost a fortune. The pieces that were fairly priced didn't last. The middle — heavy, honest, beautifully simple clothing at a price that makes sense — was almost empty.
So in 2026, we decided to fill it.
II. Four words
Before we made a single piece, we wrote down what ARLES had to be. It came to four words, and we have measured every decision against them since.
Heavy. The first thing you should feel when you pick up an ARLES piece is its weight. Weight is not a gimmick. It is the difference between a garment that drapes and one that clings, between a shape that holds all day and one that collapses by lunch.
Simple. No noise, no slogans, no trend that will look dated in six months. A single mark and very little else, so the fabric, the cut and the finish have to do the work — and have nowhere to hide if they don't.
Everyday. Not for special occasions. For Monday morning and Sunday night, the gym and the flight, the coffee run and the long week. Clothing earns its place by being worn constantly.
Honest. A fair price for what it is. Policies written to be read, not hidden behind. And no pretending to be something we are not.
If an idea made a piece louder but not better, it didn't survive. If a shortcut made it cheaper but shorter-lived, we left it out.
III. Five letters and a star
ARLES is five letters and one mark.
The wordmark is set wide, with generous space between every letter, because we wanted it to feel calm rather than shouted. A star cuts through it, and then steps away to stand on its own — small on the chest, riding on the sleeve, or spread wide across the back.
It is almost the only decoration we allow ourselves.
A star is something you steer by. It doesn't compete for attention; it is simply there, fixed and constant, and you find your way by it. That is the role we want our clothes to play in your wardrobe: the constant. The piece you don't have to think about, because you already know it is right.
When you see the star, we want it to mean one thing: this was made to last.
IV. Heavy on purpose
Pick up an ARLES hoodie and you notice it before anything else. It has weight.
Our hoodies are cut from heavyweight cotton fleece between 380 and 420 g/m² — far heavier than the standard hoodie on most shelves. That weight changes everything about how a garment lives with you.
Heavy fleece falls straight. It doesn't cling to every line of your body or twist around you as you move; it hangs with a structured, deliberate shape that looks considered even when you threw it on in thirty seconds. It holds that shape through a full day — through sitting, standing, carrying a bag on one shoulder — and it holds it through the wash, instead of coming out a little longer and a little thinner each time.
Heavy fabric also ages the right way. Lighter fabrics wear out; heavier fabrics wear in. They soften, relax and settle into the way you move, so a hoodie you have owned for a year feels better than the day it arrived.
Our tee follows the same principle: 240 g/m² cotton, genuinely heavy for a t-shirt, and sand-washed after it is sewn so it arrives soft and lived-in from the very first wear, with virtually no shrinkage.
V. The line
We make very few pieces, and each one exists for a reason.
The Premium Heavyweight Hoodie is the flagship weight: 400 g/m² cotton with a structured body, tapered hem, balloon sleeves and dropped shoulders. The star sits large at the centre of the chest. It is the piece you feel the difference in the second you pick it up.
The Boulevard Heavyweight Hoodie is quiet in front and loud behind. A small star on the chest, and the full ARLES wordmark running down the spine. The same 400 g/m² build as the Premium.
The Garment-Dyed Vintage Hoodie is the washed one. 420 g/m² cotton, dyed after it is sewn and finished to a rugged, faded black — so no two pieces fade exactly the same. Oversized, with side pockets and a snap-button collar that sets it apart from every other hoodie in the room.
The Cross Grain Luxury Hoodie is the quiet one, until you turn around. A completely clean front, the star tucked on the sleeve, and a hand-sketched print reaching across the whole back. 380 g/m² brushed fleece with a soft interior and a single snap-button collar.
The Clean Fit Hoodie is the everyday one. A clean chest, the star riding on the sleeve, and ARLES across the back. 380 g/m² cotton, a loose cut and a drawcord hood — nothing to think about, everything you reach for first.
The Double Zip Hoodie is the loud one. A graffiti ARLES on the chest, a sparkle star thrown across the back, and a full-length double-pull zip: wear it open or sealed shut. 400 g/m², tapered hem, balloon sleeves and structured volume.
The Sand-Washed Classic Tee is the tee under everything. 240 g/m², sand-washed, classic fit with dropped shoulders. A small star on the chest and the ARLES wordmark across the back — EST. 2026. In black, carbon gray and a deep, smoky green.
Six hoodies and one tee. Each one had to earn its place by being something you would genuinely wear with anything, constantly, for years.
VI. The details nobody sees
Most of what makes clothing last is invisible at first glance. It lives in the places you only notice when they fail.
It is in the neck and shoulders, bound with tape so the seams don't stretch out of shape after a few months of wear.
It is in the cuffs and hem — double-stitched, ribbed, and built to hold their grip on your wrists and waist for years rather than weeks.
It is in the side seams, which keep a garment's shape true instead of letting it twist around your body over time.
It is in the colour — reactive-dyed, so the black stays black through wash after wash instead of fading to a tired grey.
It is in the fabric itself — pre-shrunk before it ever reaches you, so the size you order is the size you keep.
None of it is loud. You will never see it in an advertisement. But it is the reason a piece is still in your rotation on its two-hundredth wear instead of at the back of a drawer after its twentieth. It is where the money in a garment should go, and it is where we put it.
VII. Less, done properly
Our palette is black and deep, quiet tones — colours that work with everything you already own and look as good in year three as on day one. Our lines are clean. Our mark is singular.
There are no seasonal collections here designed to make last season's pieces feel out of date. No limited drops engineered to create panic and then be forgotten a month later. No discount calendar that trains you to wait for the next sale.
When we add something new, it won't be because a calendar says it is time. It will be because we found a way to make an everyday essential better than what already exists — heavier, cleaner, longer-lived. If we can't do that, we won't make it at all.
VIII. Made for you, not for a warehouse
Every ARLES piece is made to order.
That isn't a slogan; it is how the whole business works. We don't manufacture thousands of units and hope someone buys them. When you place your order, your hoodie or tee is produced for you — and only then.
Here is exactly what happens:
- You choose your piece. Your order confirmation arrives within minutes.
- It is made for you. Production takes 2–4 business days.
- It is shipped to you. Delivery to the United States and Canada takes 7–14 business days, tracked from the moment it leaves.
- Shipping is free on every order over $100. Below that, standard shipping is shown at checkout, before you pay.
It takes a little longer than pulling something off a warehouse shelf. We think it is worth it — for reasons that go beyond the garment in your hands.
Making to order means no mountains of unsold stock, no clearance bins, and no overproduction quietly written off at the end of every season. The fashion industry makes far more than it sells. We didn't want that waste built into the foundations of our brand.
It also means the piece that arrives at your door exists because you chose it.
IX. Getting the size right
Because every piece is made for you individually, we ask one thing of you: take a minute to get the size right.
Each product page has a size guide with real measurements. The easiest way to use it is to lay a hoodie you already love flat, measure it, and compare. Our hoodies are cut generously — boxy, oversized or loose depending on the style — so if you like a cleaner fit, size down; if you like it big, take your usual size.
And if you are stuck between two sizes, just write to us before you order. A real person will reply and help you choose.
X. How to keep it
ARLES is built to be worn hard and often. A little care keeps it at its best for years.
Wash it inside out, in cold water, on a gentle cycle, with similar colours. Skip the bleach. Hang it to dry, out of direct sunlight. If you iron or tumble-dry, keep the heat low.
That's all. Treat it well and it will soften, settle and keep its shape — becoming more yours with every wear.
The garment-dyed pieces will keep evolving, too. Their faded finish is part of the character, and like a good pair of jeans, they only get better with time.
XI. Who we make it for
We make ARLES for people who would rather own fewer, better things.
For the ones who wear the same hoodie four days a week and don't apologise for it. For the ones who notice when a collar is still flat after a year. For people who move — to work, to train, to travel, wherever the day takes them — and want clothing that keeps up without asking for attention.
You don't need to be anyone in particular to wear it. You only need to care, a little, about the difference between something that looks good for a week and something that is good for years.
XII. What we promise
We are a young brand. We would rather earn your trust than ask for it, so here is what we stand behind — plainly, with no fine print:
- Free shipping on orders over $100 to the United States and Canada.
- If anything is wrong — damaged in transit, a flaw in the fabric, print or stitching, or not what you ordered — tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will send you a free replacement. You won't pay to fix our mistake.
- A real person answers every message, usually within one or two business days.
- No surprises after checkout. The price you see before you pay is the price you pay.
Everything else is in our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Terms of Service — written to be read, not to be hidden behind.
XIII. What comes next
This is the beginning.
We started with the pieces we believe matter most — the heavyweight hoodie and the tee you wear under everything — because they are the foundation of any wardrobe and the hardest to get right. Everything we make next will be held to the same four words we wrote before we made anything: heavy, simple, everyday, honest.
We will grow slowly and deliberately. We would rather make a few things properly than many things carelessly.
XIV. Worn every day
We don't want ARLES to be the thing you save for special occasions.
We want it to be the hoodie you throw on for the early coffee run and still have on at midnight. The tee under everything. The piece that goes with you — to the gym, to the city, onto the flight, through the long week — and comes out the other side looking more like yours than when it arrived.
Clothes are at their best when they are lived in.
We just make sure they're built for it.
